My Human Interest Photos

In this page, i would like to share with you about my human interest photo-works. It was taken at different places and different timing as well. These photos are candid photos instead of concept photos.

Anak Pantai (Beach Boys)

This photo was taken in small island Pulau Putri (Putri Island). It's nearby Batam Island, it just take few minutes to reach there from Batam Island by small boat. This photo was taken few years ago, i was still using my Canon 450D and EF-S 17-55mm f2.8 IS USM. I am very glad, this photo is also recognized as Best of Human Interest's Photo at www.artphotomania.com in June 2011.

Silhouette of fisherman

This photo has a lot story for me, it's not about the photo but it's about me instead. I woke up very early in the morning, my head was still dizzy :). This the first time i woke up early to do photo-hunting. I took this photo in Batam Island, at Pantai Mata Ikan. I was using my wide angle lens to take this, EF-S 17-55mm F/2.8 IS USM. You can imagine, i have to leave the shore line to chase the fisherman. I was so lucky to get it right,  get balance composition by putting the fisherman on the left and left the jetty as the background to emphasize this iconic place.

Sebelum Fajar Menyapa (Before sun arising)

Sebelum Fajar Menyapa was taken in Bali, Gianyar. The exposure may be not exactly right in this photo, and a little bit noise. I think, it's because of high ISO setting and the light condition was not sufficient enough. That's the challenge parts of candid photo. The moment which you captured into one frame will be not repeatable. Well, i am very glad  this photo recognized as Capture of the Week's photo at baliphotographyguide

Disuatu Sore

I took this photo when me and my semetonan (friends) have prayer service to Pura Ulun Danu Batur. I hope i can present the situation at that place in this photo. I love the place very much.

Well, those are my photo-works which i can share with you guys fellow photographers, I will come back in pOetOegde photography page soon updating my photo-works for sure.

C U again in next page, Ciao.

Feeling the nature of Telunas Beach

In this page, i would like to share with you regarding my journey to Telunas Beach resort. I may not elaborate what is Telunas, but i am sure you will be able to find the information in Google. This journey was coordinated by keprifoto, we spend 3 days and 2 night over there. It takes about 1 hrs from Sekupang ferry terminal to reach the place.

Telunas 1

Telunas 2

Telunas 3

The place looks so peaceful, quiet, and calm, as described in photo Telunas 1,2,3. It's very nice place to get out from noisy and crowded city. The place where you can be more relax, enjoy the silent and feel the nature.
The housing

The Rocks

Photo "the housing" and "The Rocks" were taken at the other side of Telunas. I do like the composition of photo "The Housing", it just pity that the sky was blunt, there was no sun shinning.

In addition, i would like to share with you how fun we are, some of people enjoy jumping into the waters, moreover some of them also jump from the tower. How crazy they are, but it was fun.
Telunas 4
This was Mr. Tribuana sharing his tips how to clean up the lens properly, while Mr. Jonny was paying attention to him :)

Simply to say, we do have a lot fun when we were there, see how fun we are in photo "Telunas 5,6,7" :)

My Landscape in Black and White

Alright, here i am posting my Black-White (B.W.) photo-works in pOetOegde photography blog.

In this page, i would like to share some of my B.W. photo-works to you guys. I did photo-shot in Raw and then converted it into Black and White photo.
Badai Pagi / Morning Storm
Cloudy Day

Photo "Badai Pagi" and "Cloudy Day" were taken few months ago in Batam Island. Me & my friend went there in the morning before the sun start raising. It just unfortunate, the sky was fully cover by the cloud. However, it makes different kind of perspective when convert it into black-white photo. The back-light lifted the cloud from the background, it's generate different kind of dimension of the photo, it seems the cloud come after you and approach you. I do love this shoot.
Traditional Village Penglipuran

Penglipuran is a traditional Village in Bali, it's located in Bangli regency. It may not very far from Capital City of Bali " Denpasar",perhaps it's about 45km far. I took this photo when i was holiday in Bali. That was when my EF-S 17-55mm f 2.8 IS USM still pretty new :D. I love the perspective and the architecture of this village.
Asa yang tersisi dari Mu
Derasnya Hari

The two photos, "Asa yang tersisia dari Mu" and "Derasnya Hari" are about simplicity, simple point of interest. Asa yang tersisi dari Mu was taken in Pulau Sembulang (Sembulang Island), when i join travel photography workshop mentored by Om Don Hasman and Om Risman Marah and on the other hand, Derasnya Hari was taken in Bali, not far away from my kampoeng :D.
Marina Barage
Singapore Solar Cell

You may familiar with these two photos, don't you? It was taken in Singapore, Marina Barrage. The place deliver very nice modern architecture. In fact, so many curving place and building, nice spot to bring your family, the place where may people playing the kites as well can be seen over-here.

Well, hope you enjoy it and get useful information from this blog. Enjoy your weekend, c u again in my next page. Caio..

My Landscape - Compilation I

Hello Dear friends & fellow photographers, after 5 months blog-off, i manage to update pOetOegde Photography blog with some of my landscape photos collection.

Lentera Pagi "Morning Beacon"

This photo was taken when i was holiday in my hometwon Bali, Sanur beach is very popular and famous place for the people who enjoy the sunrise and for sure for the photographer as well. It's not long exposure instead :), i may visit again another time this place to try some other ideas.

Canang Sari "Balinese Hindu Offering"

Berdua Menunggu Senja "A waiting for the sun goes down"

Both of these photos "Canang Sari" and "Berdua Menunggu Senja" were taken in the same place, where me and my friends visit one of Hindu's Temple in Bali. The golden colour of the sun just simply prefect on that time, love the view and the scenery of this place.

Gelora Senja

This photo also was taken in Bali, it's very common photo spot for photographers. You may hear about Tanah Lot, yeah.. that's it. The place where many people would like to visit it and freeze it in one frame. It was very crowed when i was there, so many people walked around and captured the sunset. You may observed from "Gelora Senja", there a person actually squatting in about 20 minutes :D.

I do burning on the sky in "Gelora Senja" photo to make more dramatic sky and mode as well.

Hangatnya Senja

The weather was not supporting me when i took "Hangatnya Senja" photo, it was so cloudy, and no sun shine at all, until i wait few minutes to get the sun appearing. As the exposure between sky and foreground very huge, i use GND 1.2 soft to compensate that. CPL was mounted onto my lens as well. I do like the composition even though create pinky/purple tone :). I took "Hangatnya Senja" in Batam Island few months ago.

Damainya Pagi "Peaceful Morning"

Hangatnya Pagi "Warmly morning"

Photos "Damainya Pagi" and "Hangatnya Pagi" were taken in Bali when i was holiday as well. I need to wake up early morning to get this place before sun rising. I should visit this place again next time, still have many ideas to capture this place.

Well, those are the update from me up to now, I hope can share some information to you guys who like to do photo-shooting and travelling as well. C U in my next page, Ciao

Singapore Night Shots - Compilation

Well, in this page you will find some of photos which i took at night time in Singapore. This page will consist of my first night shot in Singapore and as well as the latest one.
A way to the bridge
If I can call it back my memory, "A way to the bridge" is my first night shot, I took many shots to get it right, changed the exposure many times just want to try to get different kind of effect of long exposure.

A way to hotel
Basicly, "A way to hotel" was taken in the same night as "A way to the bridge", it's just in different time frame. "A way to hotel" is taken after "A way to the bridge", as can be seen the sky is very dark, lost a lot details. Flash was flashing in order to freeze the texture of the bridge.

Fullerton Hotel
It was taken last year, when there were F1 racing in Singapore, i was not able to go in to see the race, don't have F1 ticket on that time :(, so i sit down for a while in front of Fullerton Hotel while listen the sound of F1 car and took this photo afterward once the blue hour start appearing.

Sparkling light at Marina Bay
I simply say, i like this shot. It's long exposure shot and deliver stunning light effect as can be seen on the reflection of the building which draw the line of the viewer to the building. I do enhancement a little bit in photoshop to increse the sharpness of this photo and put this photo in with more warm tone to be more attractive. It's just nice, love it.

The truly City
"The truly city" was take in the same location as "Sparkling light at Marina Bay", however they has different perspective, angle and exposure as well. When the sky get darker, its temperature get colder, it mean the sun was getting far from horizon, seems that "The truly City" was taken after "Sparkling light at Marina Bay". I love the composition and angle of this photo, it's very wide view, it's captured by canon 10-22mm.

Esplanade
I attended photography course which was held by Canon, and this photo was taken during outing at Merlion - Marina Bay. It's not bad i think, seems to be horizon a bit slanted :D

Senja di Marina Bay
It took at the same day as "The truly city" and "Sparkling light at marina Bay" but different location. It was taken from Helix Bridge.

Senja di Chinese Garden
It was my second visit to Chinese Garden this photo taken.

Colourful night
I do like this photo too, the light effect from the boat which pass-by drawing the line to the bridge and the ripple of the wafer as well. I took thi photo from the bridge which connect Fullerton Hotel and Esplanade. It looks a little bit shake, because of the bus pass-by through the bridge and make a little bit vibration during capturing long exposure of this photo. Overall, i think, it's still nice to see this one.

Light of the bridge
This photo was taken the day before "Colourful Night", i was taking another photo in Marina Bay before going to this place. It's no longer in blue hours however, what i would like to emphasize in this photo is the colour of the bridge make stunning light compared to the light from the building of Esplanade, that the reason why this photo called Light of the bridge.

One night long at Raffles City
It was taken in the same day as "Fullerton Hotel", it was taken during my way back to home, i got it in blue hours eventually. I do correction onto this photo due to wide angle effect that make the photo slightly distorted.

Hope you enjoy my night shot photos, hope those photos make you have any ideas and inspiration in taking night shot photo. Thanks for Visiting.

Landscaper - Sunrise Hunter (Chapter Batam)

It was three weeks ago, i spent my weekend in Batam, Kepulauan Riau, Indonesia, met with old friends who have love photography as well. Here we are,
this photo was taken by Willybro

Standing from the left are Mr. Ade Rinaldi, Mr. Uda Denni, Mr. Sarwono Edi, me and squating on the left is Willybro, and the woman who sst on the stone is Gred.

I took couple of shoot on that time, i was using GND soft 1.2 and trying to get use to it. The filter was really helping me on that time, i was able to get more dramatic sky. Perhaps the sky was not so perfect as we expected, the sun seems shy to appear, it covered itself behind the claud.

Here are some of shoots which i took,
Perahu Kehidupan (Ship of Life)

RIP (Rest in Peace)
